At Blackrock Yachting and Network Yacht Brokers Brighton & Chichester we offer unrivalled customer service and expertise every step of the way whether you’re buying or selling, but don’t take our word for it, here are just a few recent thank you’s we’ve received from our customers:
Dear Simon,
Boue Dessous has probably exceeded our expectations! We managed to put her together with only a few errors. I have already had two short single handed sails in the river as well as our first passage, with Julie, to St. Mawes for lunch on Saturday and double reefed off Manacle Point (SW wind!) on Sunday on F 4 with gusts to F5 ( another friend’s yacht reported!). In the lee of the Lizard of course but only a couple of waves over the foredeck and nothing in the cockpit. On both days had the lee rails just under so am glad I can now easily reef her. In light airs she is handier than our Mirror only faster and infinitely more comfortable, no bent back and wet feet! The engine works perfectly. She really is lovely and very well looked after by Keith and Sue, we only hope that we can continue to care for her as well.
All in all, we feel very fortunate, not only to have acquired a well found and, for the time, being particularly suitable craft for our situation but having had such a remarkably painless “purchasing experience”. This particularly after our aborted and expensive attempt to buy a larger craft three years ago through a very large broker! With grateful thanks to you Simon and Matt as well as Boue dessous previous owners, Keith and Sue, for making the process so painless and pleasurable.

Hi Simon,
sorry I missed you last week before we set sail.
Arrived home on the Clyde on Monday evening after an eventful journey, seriously high winds in the channel on Friday afternoon saw the boat contend with F8 touching 9 winds without sustaining any damage other than the loss of the transom seat which washed overboard, a bit hairy at times but fun……. I think?
I would like to thank you again for all your help in resolving the unforeseen issues that cropped both during and after the sale, it made life so much easier for me and it was greatly appreciated.
Good luck for the future,
Alan

Hi Bob
We both had an excellent day yesterday and thanks once again for making the whole experience of buying a boat so enjoyable and pain-free. Richard was really helpful too and we have swapped details in case we have any questions and just to keep in touch. Thank you also for your offer of help should we have any problems or questions in the future. We “played” with Sagitaire for the rest of the afternoon very happily and see much “messing around in boats” ahead.
We look forward to seeing you around the marina and will drop in say “hi”.
Kind Regards,
Anne and Peter

Dear Simon,
I would like to thank you for the swift sale of our Oceanis 343. I instructed Simon to sell our boat with the caveat that I would not complete until the purchase of our new boat happened. Simon amended his contracts accordingly and explained the situation to the prospective new buyer. Simon then ensured that the sale went well, organising all aspects of the sale, including launch and sea trial. He kept me constantly informed of progress and most importantly the money from the sale appeared in my account when he said it would.
Prior to instructing Simon @ Northney Marina I was advised by at least four other individuals in the marine industry that I would have trouble selling a boat at Northney and that I should consider moving the boat to the Hamble to ensure a quick sale at a good price. I am pleased to say that this advice was incorrect. Not only did I achieve a quick sale from Simon @ Northney I also feel that I received good money for the boat and accepted an offer at only 7% below the original asking price.
Simon’s fees were also lower than some of the other players in the marketplace.
Many Thanks again Simon, you have given me a renewed faith in Yacht Brokers and I am pleased to say that not all in the industry operate on ‘Arthur Daley’ practices. I would certainly recommend you to others and consider using you again should I come to sell my new boat in the future.

‘ We engaged Network Yacht Brokers in mid March 2013 to sell a Southerly 115.
Simon Flowers of Network handled the sale throughout in an efficient, helpful and friendly manner.
A buyer was found, negotiations finalised and contract completed within a period of four weeks.
We could not have asked for better service. ‘

Hi Ken,
Just wanted to say I’m extremely happy with service I’ve received from NYB this is as you know my 4th transaction in 3 years and everyone involved Mandy, Nick, Simon, Ray at Brighton and of course yourself have been exemplary and how in my view a good broker should be.
I always feel my business is valued and I appreciate NYB honest and no frills feedback when necessary e.g. when Mandy advised me to clean up Saffy’s engine space she sold within a week!
I’ll drop off all the title, builders cert and proof of VAT docs etc. off tomorrow when I’m in.
Kind Regards
Stephen Morris
