Blackrock Yachting is a family business with over 30 years experience in the industry.

The company started in January 2007 as a Jeanneau sub dealer to Sea Ventures. Then in September
last year becoming an importer and dealer in its own right, buying directly from Jeanneau with
a territory covering the South East of England. The name changed in 2009 to reflect
it’s independence and appointment as a Jeanneau importer and main dealer (previously a sub dealer)
and its distance from Sea Ventures Ltd.  The company is excited to be in this position and is driven
by the wealth and quality of products available from Jeanneau sailboats range.

Bob Weaden the director has been working in the industry since 1979 and has been associated with
Jeanneau since 1991 as an employee of Sea Ventures. He has enjoyed cruising and racing his own
Jeanneau 35 (now sold to be replaced with 33i) in the PY fleet of Sovereign Harbour Yacht Club where
last year the company sponsored a racing series.

Manager and Owner – Bob Weaden

Bob was raised on boats as he helped his father build wooden dinghys when he was
growing up, he first went into the industry by owning The Small Boat Store in Manchester
a dealer for Lasers, Toppers and the Windsurfer brand.  After selling the business
he moved down to Brighton to work for Westerly yachts and later Sea Ventures Ltd
before eventually becoming the director of Blackrock Yachting.

Trainee Yacht Broker and administrator – Jo Weaden

Jo is following in her fathers footsteps and helps to build a career in the industry.
She is also part time studying towards a degree in Design and Business Studies as well as
keeping the office in shape.

Yacht Broker - Graham Jones

Graham, a very keen yachtsman, with a good technical knowledge of life afloat,
will spend as much time at sea as time allows. He often finds time to help out in the
office as well as being an RNLI Beacheck Volunteer.
